Lives Between the Dates

Twenty Short Stories from India’s Unrecorded Hours

My 1st officially published Collection of Short Stories, my 3rd published book is now available on Kindle and Paperback versions.

This book brings together twenty short stories about twenty well known figures from twenty Indian cities, spanning centuries of memory and change. Each story turns away from public triumph and enters a quieter hour, a hesitation, a doubt, a private reckoning that history does not record. Rooted in real places and real lives, this collection imagines the interior moments that shaped public destinies, revealing India not as backdrop, but as living presence.

Bandook Gali

A Fiction Drawn from the Margins of History

My 2nd officially published novel available on Kindle and Paperback versions.

Set in a narrow lane of post-colonial Kolkata, this novel explores how history settles into everyday life. Blending historical textures with fiction, it follows a boy, a family, and a neighbourhood shaped by memory and inheritance. Written with restraint and clarity, the story moves purposefully toward its conclusion, inviting readers to walk through a place where the past leaves its imprint.

What Remains

A Life Practised Carefully

My 1st officially published novel available on Kindle and Paperback versions.

This book is inspired by the lives of my maternal grandparents, Harry Nelson Robson and Dipti Robson, spanning across pre-during-post independence of India. Lives before, during, and after the holacaust of Partition of India. Not as history lessons. Not as nostalgia. But as a study in how a life can be lived with discipline, gentleness, restraint, and care.
