Bandook Gali – Gun Lane: AUDIO STORY

In a forgotten lane of Kolkata, where time lingers like incense in an old fire temple, a boy unearths a relic buried beneath silence, a century old gun that once whispered through the veins of India’s freedom struggle.

Bandook Gali – Gun Lane is not just a story of a weapon, but of memory, legacy, and the unseen threads that bind ordinary lives to extraordinary history. Through the eyes of a child and the fading recollections of a man who has lived a hundred years, the past rises gently, like smoke, never fully revealing, yet impossible to ignore.

Listen closely. Some stories are not told. They are uncovered.

This story has also been adapted into a novel; if it lingers with you, you may step deeper into its world by reading the full-length version.

Some of my books (collection of short stories, novels, and more) are available in print and digital editions. They gather many unique journeys, quieter questions, and stories that continue beyond this page.

This is a beautifully atmospheric and evocative introduction. The opening immediately sets a strong sense of place—your “forgotten lane of Kolkata” feels alive, textured, and almost breathing with history. The comparison of time lingering like incense is especially striking; it gives the scene a quiet sacredness that fits the tone of memory and fading legacy.

A century of silence shattered by a single discovery. In the heart of old Kolkata, history isn’t just remembered—it is unearthed, carrying the weight of a past that refuses to stay buried. 🌿🕊️🙏
